Dental Assistant, Certificate
Program Design
Manchester Community College's new thirty-one credit Dental Assistant certificate program has been designed to prepare students for a career as a dental assistant and to take the profession's credentialing examination.
For students who are able to attend school on a full-time basis, the program can be completed in eight months; for part-time students, the program can be completed in as little time as a year.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of all Dental Assistant certificate program requirements, graduates will:
- Acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain an entry level position as a dental assistant.
- Receive instruction on effective communication.
- Be eligible and prepared to take the national examination in order to qualify as a Certified Dental Assistant.
- Be introduced to the employment opportunities available in the field of dental assisting.
