Program Design

Manchester Community College's new twenty-four credit Polysomnography certificate program has been designed to prepare students for a career as a polysomnographic technologist and to take the profession's credentialing examination.

The program has been structured for students who are able to attend school on a full-time basis and can be completed in two semesters.

Curriculum

At MCC, the Polysomnography program curriculum is a mix of science and hands-on/practical courses.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of all Polysomnography certificate program requirements, graduates will:

  1. Acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain an entry level position as a polysomnographic technologist.
  2. Receive instruction on effective communication.
  3. Be eligible and prepared to take the examination offfered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists.
  4. Be introduced to the employment opportunities available in the field of polysomnography.
