Music Option

Manchester Community College currently offers an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts with a Music Option. As the full time instructor on campus, I serve as the advisors for students completing the music option curriculum. I also serve as a music resource to the campus as well as to the community at large. 

The Music Option curriculum has two goals: preparing students to meet the demands of pursuing further music studies and providing the nonprofessional the skills and resources to be an informed participant in the music experience.  

Students completing the curriculum receive a thorough preparation in music theory, a comprehensive overview of western European and American contemporary music, performance experience and individualized instruction.   Each student entering the program receives advisement by the music faculty to determine the appropriate course to take, depending upon their educational and career goals.
