Mission Statement

The Graphic Design and Multimedia Department strives to bring you the cutting edge in education to propel any student into the fast track for an exciting career. Students may enroll in art and graphic design courses full or part time. There are no requirements or prerequisites for students wishing to take courses part time or as electives for other programs.

The Multimedia Studies program at Manchester Community College is structured to equip students with a sound foundation in technical skills, design concepts, aesthetics, terminology and vocabulary, and to provide an awareness of the application of creative and critical thinking in the use of technical knowledge. A strong emphasis has been placed on the use of the computer as a production and composition tool.

The Graphic Design program at Manchester Community College is structured to equip students with a sound foundation in technical skills, graphic design concepts, aesthetics, terminology and vocabulary, and to provide an awareness of the application of acquired technical knowledge. Computer use will be an integral part of the course of study.
