Office of Student Activities
The Office of Student Activities (OSA) provides opportunities for students to nurture their personal growth and development outside of the academic environment. Students are encouraged to participate in student clubs, the Student Government Association (SGA) and the numerous special events sponsored by student clubs and OSA. Affiliation and involvement in student clubs provides students with the opportunity to gain hands-on leadership, enriching their college learning experience and providing them with the ability to explore personal and career-related interests. OSA also strives to engage our students, faculty and staff in local communities.

Clubs MUST submit an Event Evaluation for ALL events (ie: bake sales, speakers, dances, performances, trips, etc.). Failure to complete an event evaluation within one week may result in withdrawal of recognition. An Event Evaluation is an important step in the learning process and helps make programming on campus more efficient and effective.
Special Events/Offers
The Campus Activities Board (CAB) sponsors several bus trips each semester. The trip details will be listed below as well as the price for students and non-students to attend. Sign up for trips at the Office of Student Activities (Lowe 149). Unless otherwise noted, all trips depart MCC from the AST Tower driveway. Spots are not reserved until payment is made at the Bursar's Office and a completed Liability Waiver is submitted. For all trips, prices are subject to change.
Services
OSA administers the co-curricular program and offers a variety of services that may include leadership workshops, event planning assistance, monitoring the Student Activity Fee (SAF) fund, games and equipment rentals, student photo IDs, lockers, referrals and general information.
Digital Signage
OSA operates the digital signage located throughout the campus. The signage is available to student clubs and MCC departments to advertise meetings and events. Anyone interested in posting information on the digital signage should contact T.J. Barber via email or call 860-512-3282.
Locker Rentals
Lockers are available for students to use throughout the semester and are located at various locations throughout campus. The cost is $5.00 for the semester and students must bring their own lock.
College Bulletin Boards
Bulletin boards are used to inform the campus community of campus events, activities, policies and notices. Space is provided for items of an educational, cultural, civic or recreational nature, rather than for commercial or partisan political purposes. The bulletin boards are also offered as a community service to publicize local groups, meetings, cultural events, non-partisan political events, fund-raising events for non-profit organizations and educational opportunities. If you have something you would like to post, bring it to OSA for prior approval.
Student IDs
Student IDs are available to currently enrolled students at the college. There is a one-time fee of $5.00. IDs can be used for discounts, identification and more. IDs are available at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. Once you have your ID, semester decals are available at OSA to update your semester status at no cost.
Student IDs include two bar codes on the back: 1) RECPass, and 2) Library Card. Each one must be activated (Athletics for the RECPass and the MCC Library for the Library Card), RECPasses cost $25 and provide semester long (July 1-December 31 and January 1-June 30) UNLIMITED access to intramurals, group exercise classes, cardio room and weight room. The Library Card is activated for free in the MCC Library and replaces the stand alone Library Cards the MCC Library previously has issued.
