CQ Researcher

An excellent full-text source for in-depth information on topics of current interest, such as nuclear proliferation, world hunger, global warming and child labor. Each full-text article may include a pro/con discussion, photos, charts, graphs, a chronology of the issue and a bibliography. Covers 1991 - present.

Credo Reference

Credo Reference includes over 3.3 million full-text entries in 537 reference books. Use Credo Reference to find encyclopedias, dictionaries, biographies, quotations, bilingual dictionaries, crossword solvers and measurement conversions. This is a great place to begin researching a topic.

EBSCO E-Book Collection
This collection of e-books from respected academic publishers can be viewed online or downloaded for offline reading. If you're new to using eBooks, this short learning module will help get you started.

EBSCO Academic Search Premier
An expansive database designed specifically for academic institutions, Academic Search Premier indexes and abstracts over 8,000 journals. Of the 8,000 plus titles, the database provides full-text access for more than 4,500 publications, including more than 3,600 peer-reviewed publications. The topics range among all areas of academic pursuit including arts and literature, chemistry, computer sciences, ethnic studies, engineering, language and linguistics.

EBSCO Applied Science and Technology Source
Providing extensive coverage of research and development initiatives within the applied sciences and computing disciplines, this database offers full-text for almost 1,200 journals, citations to millions of articles from leading trade journals, professional and technical society journals and conference proceedings.

EBSCO CINAHL with Full-Text
This database provides abstracts and a limited number of full-text articles obtained from nursing and allied health journals.

ERIC, the Educational Resources Information Center, is an important database for educators and others conducting research in the field of education.

EBSCO Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition
Covering many medical disciplines with a strong focus on nursing and allied health, this database provides more than 550 scholarly full-text journals, including over 400 peer-reviewed titles.

EBSCO History Reference Center
This comprehensive database covers ancient to modern history of the world. The database provides access to thousands of full-text articles from reference books, encyclopedias and history books, as well as leading history magazines and journals. Historical documents, maps, photos and videos are also included.

EBSCO Hospitality & Tourism Complete
Covers scholarly research and industry news relating to all areas of hospitality and tourism.

EBSCO Literary Reference Center Plus
LRC Plus is a full-text database that combines information from major respected reference works, books and literary journals. It contains information on thousands of authors and their works across literary disciplines and periods.

EBSCO MasterFILE Premier
This database provides access to full-text articles from more than 2,000 magazines and journals covering a wide range of subject areas including general reference, business, education, health, general science and multi-cultural issues. In addition to the full-text, this database also provides indexing and abstracts for more than 2,800 other publications. The database also features full- text book reviews, biographies and primary source documents. An image collection of photos, maps and flags is also available.

Created by the National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE provides authoritative information covering the fields of medicine, nursing, health care, dentistry and veterinary medicine. MEDLINE searches over 4,800 biomedical journals for abstracts of articles and in some instances, a linked full-text article is available.

EBSCO Newspaper Source
Newspaper Source provides selected full-text for nearly 30 United States and international newspapers. The database also contains selected full-text for more than 200 regional U.S. newspapers.

PsycARTICLES contains more than 153,000 articles from nearly 80 journals published by the American Psychological Association (APA), its imprint the Educational Publishing Foundation (EPF), and from allied organizations including the Canadian Psychological Association and the Hogrefe Publishing Group. Coverage spans 1894 to the present and nearly all APA journals go back to Volume 1, Issue 1.

EBSCO Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection
This database is for those researching topics in psychology, psychiatry, behavioral sciences, anthropology and observational/experimental methods. The database provides access to over 500 full-text publications, most of which are peer-reviewed journals.

Created by the American Psychological Association, PsycINFO contains over 2 million citations and abstracts of journal articles, book chapters, books and dissertations in the field of psychology. Journal coverage goes back to the 1800s and it also includes international material selected from nearly 2,000 periodicals in over 24 languages. Although PsycINFO is not full text in itself, the database does provide links to full text articles available in other EBSCO databases.

EBSCO Professional Development Collection
Designed for professional educators, this database provides full text access to more than 500 quality education journals, including more than 350 peer-reviewed titles. In addition to full text, Professional Development Collection also indexes and abstracts more than 900 journals.

EBSCO Science Reference Center
This comprehensive source covers a wide range of science-related topics including biology, chemistry, environmental science, health, medicine, physics and wildlife. The database provides full-text articles from leading scientific encyclopedias, reference books, magazines and journals. Biographies and images are also included.

Encylopedia Britannica Online

Britannica Online includes the complete encyclopedia, as well as Merriam-Webster's Collegiate, a world atlas, timelines, and other tools.

Films on Demand is a web-based digital video delivery platform that allows you to view streaming videos from Films Media Group anytime, anywhere, 24/7! Thousands of videos are available for in-class use and remote viewing from the library or at home. Special features built into the Films Demand platform allow users the ability to organize and bookmark clips, share playlists, store quick links to favorite videos, and manage their entire collection.

Foundation Center Directory Professional

In Library use only. Inquire at the Reference Desk. Foundation Directory Online Professional provides access to a wealth of timely, comprehensive information on grantmakers and their grants. Included is a database of 108,000 foundations, corporate giving programs, and grantmaking public charities in the U.S. It also contains information on recently awarded grants and a keyword-searchable database of over 1 million recently filed IRS Forms 990 and 990-PF.

A good source for peer-reviewed, full-text articles from the world's leading journals and reference sources. With extensive coverage of the physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, the arts, theology, literature and other subjects, Academic OneFile is both authoritative and comprehensive. With millions of articles available in both PDF and HTML full-text with no restrictions, researchers are able to find accurate information quickly. Includes full-text coverage of the New York Times back to 1995.

Biography in Context
This is an excellent source that provides biographical information on over 320,000 people from throughout history, around the world and across all disciplines and subject areas.

Business Insights: Essentials 
BI:E allows you to easily find information on companies, industries and more with timely news, statistical data, and in-depth reports.

Global Issues in Context
Offers international viewpoints on a broad spectrum of global issues, topics, and current events. Featured are hundreds of continuously updated issue and country portals that bring together a variety of specially selected, highly relevant sources for analysis of social, political, military, economic, environmental, health, and cultural issues.

The Global Reference on the Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources (GREENR) focuses on the physical, social, and economic aspects of environmental issues. Health and Wellness Resource Center and Alternative Health Module

ICE Video Library

Provides access to a specialized collection of streaming video training clips depicting real-life patient assessment and intervention modalities that can be used by physical and occupational therapists to help treat stroke victims.

ProQuest ABI/INFORM Complete
Comprises ABI/INFORM Global, ABI/INFORM Trade and Industry and ABI/INFORM Dateline. The database features thousands of full-text journals, dissertations, working papers, key business and economics periodicals such as the Economist, country-and industry-focused reports, and downloadable data. Its international coverage gives researchers a complete picture of companies and business trends around the world.

Hoover's Company Records
Hoover's provides information on more than 40,000 public and private companies and over 225,000 key executives.  

ProQuest Criminal Justice
A comprehensive database supporting research on crime, its causes and impacts, legal and social implications, as well as litigation and crime trends. It contains U.S. and international scholarly journals, correctional and law enforcement trade publications, crime reports, crime blogs and other material relevant for researchers or those preparing for careers in criminal justice, law enforcement and related fields.

ProQuest National Newspapers
This database provides access to newspaper articles in the Hartford Courant, New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Christian Science Monitor and Los Angeles Times. Full-text coverage varies depending on the particular newspaper.

ProQuest Historical Newspapers Hartford Courant (1764-1922)
This database provides full-text coverage for every single article published in the Hartford Courant from the first issue on December 3, 1764, (when it was The Connecticut Courant) through December 31, 1922.
ProQuest Historical Newspapers The New York Times (1851-2009)
This database provides full-text coverage for every single article published in The New York Times from September 18, 1851, through December 31, 2009.  The database will continue to grow as more years are added.  

WestlawNext Campus Research

WestlawNext Campus Research is a research service for legal, news and business-related information. It provides access to federal/state cases, statutes, regulations, administrative decisions and legislation, as well as an encyclopedia (Am. Jur., 2d), dictionary, legal commentary, 900+ journals and news in law.
