Library Services
If you need assistance finding reference and materials for your research project, a
librarian can assist you in various ways.
Use this form to suggest books, periodicals, DVDs, or CDs for the Library collection.
ILL is a service through which materials in other libraries can be acquired and is is available to all Connecticut residents who own a MCC library card.
The library instruction program strives to teach our students effective research skills
enabling them to search electronic and printed resources to locate needed information.
Through the library instruction program, the library teaching staff also educates students
to be critical thinkers so that they can evaluate the merit and validity of any information
identified in the course of the research process.
Any full- or part-time faculty member may put materials on academic reserve in the library.
Materials may include textbooks, supplemental reading books, photocopies of articles,
videos, DVD's, CD's, audiocassettes, answer keys, and study guides. Library materials
may also be placed on reserve, such as books, videos, DVD's, CD's and audiocassettes.
Reference items and periodicals from the library collection may not be placed on reserve,
since these items do not circulate outside of the library and are always available for
student use in the library.
