To All Full and Part-time Faculty:

Any full- or part-time faculty member may put materials on academic reserve in the library. Materials may include textbooks, supplemental reading books, photocopies of articles, videos, DVDs, CDs, audiocassettes, answer keys, and study guides. Library materials may also be placed on reserve, such as books, videos, DVDs, CDs and audiocassettes. Reference items and periodicals from the library collection may not be placed on reserve, since these items do not circulate outside of the library and are always available for student use in the library.

To put materials on reserve please fill out a Reserve Request Form and return it to the library with the materials you wish to place on reserve. A sample of the form is shown below. The library requires a 48-hour processing period to put materials on reserve. If you wish to put photocopies on reserve, please supply 1 copy per 15 students in the class. The library does not make photocopies; please supply the appropriate number of photocopies you wish to make available to your students. Multiple copies of the same item may be given different loans periods. For example, if 2 copies of the same text are put on reserve one may be for library use only while the second one is made available for 2 day loan.

Forms are available in the Library.
