Become A Student Leader!
The Student Senate Executive Board provides students with the opportunity to develop leadership skills in democratic procedures while helping to shape decisions that affect their education and experiences. The Student Senate Executive Board is a representative form of government; students are elected to act as the governing body for student concerns and the Student Activity Fund. Members work at meeting the social, economic and curricular needs of all MCC students.
The Student Senate and the Student Senate Executive Board emphasize "community" in Manchester Community College by sponsoring and expanding programs of an educational, cultural, social and recreational nature, therefore enhancing and broadening the perspective of the community. The Senate also works to establish a forum for students that will aid in the success of student activities and will help students find social and self- satisfaction.
The Student Senate Executive Board comprises many segments of the student population and is constituency-based. Officers are elected annually. Positions include President, Vice President, Social Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Senator I and Senator II.
